Because of the cover of the TopCare Super Maxi bag, I couldn't really tell the style of pads, but because they mention on the bag compare to StayFree, I thought they would indeed be comparable. That is certainly not the case, perhaps the olden day style of StayFree but certainly not the new StayFree maxi pads.
If you look at the pictures, I have the StayFree maxi pad right beside the TopCare maxi pad. You can see the thickness difference. Folded the TopCare maxi is about the size of a wallet. StayFree's maxi pad is thin enough to be mistaken as a small note pad.
These TopCare super maxi pads are thick, they don't absorb quickly, and added to that, as you walk it begins to turn into a tube shape. It's like having a thick sausage between your legs every time you wear them. Plus when you pull the Top Care maxi off your underwear, half the sticky stuff sticks. Often times it's so stuck the only way I can be bothered to get it off is during the wash. And that's not good for your washer!
I decided to call TopCare about this, I wanted to hear their thoughts on the issue, and see if they did indeed stand behind their satisfaction guaranteed. I was met by a man on the phone, which was a bit odd, to say the least. They wanted me to return to the store I purchased it, but besides that I was offered gift certificates to use on anything TopCare at my local store. I believe if I had a woman on the phone, she could relate better, and have some understanding about the ordeal. As it was because I spoke to a gentlemen about this, I was a bit taken back, and didn't even think of sharing about how it sticks to the underwear and the only way to get it off is to put it in the washer.
Save your money, these Top Care Maxi pads aren't worth your time or your dime. I rate Top Care Super Maxi Pads, and three out of ten. Worth the cost, perhaps, but worth the problems, no.
