Falling asleep has not been easy for me, this week at all, which is why I picked up a box of Traditional Medicinals Organic Nighty Night Herbal Tea. This herbal tea helps me calm down my mind and body before bedtime while helping me feel sleepy so I can fall asleep easily when I get into bed. Without this tea, I would be wide awake at night and miserable in the morning.
The Traditional Medicinals Organic Nighty Night Herbal Tea comes in a box with 16 individual wrapped tea bags. Each tea bag contains herbs that help promote calmness and sleep. Those herbs are catnip, lemon peel, lemon verbena leaves, linden flower, chamomile, passionflower, spearmint, hops and Indian lemongrass. All the herbs are organic and potent with many medicinal benefits that can also help relieve anxiety, overactive thinking, restlessness, panic attacks, depression and irritability.
The best way to bring out the medicinal properties of this nighttime tea is by making it in a teapot. Therefore, the first thing I do is boil water on top of the stovetop on high for 5 minutes. While I wait for the water to boil, I place 2 to 3 teabags into a teapot. Once the boiling water is ready, I pour it over the teabags in the teapot and than cover the teapot with the lid and allow the tea to steep for 10 minutes. When the tea is ready, it will have a strong mint herbal scent to it and a deep brown golden color to it. Once the tea is ready, I pour it into a teacup and add a little spoonful of honey to help add sweetness. After the tea is ready, I sip on the tea 30 minutes before bedtime because it does make me sleepy.
Now the reason I used 2 to 3 teabags to make the nighty night tea is that one teabag is not potent enough for me. One teabag only helps calm me down, which is helpful, but I also want to feel sleepy too. However, if you feel 2 to 3 teabags is too much for you, you can try just using one and see what happens. I hope that you end up falling asleep. The reason why I add the honey to the tea is that it helps add flavor to the mint herbal bitterness of the tea. However, the tea is drinkable on its own.
I would definitely recommend the Traditional Medicinals Organic Nighty Night Herbal Tea to anyone to have before bedtime because it does help me fall asleep naturally without making me feel tired in the morning. The tea is affordable and is worth buying over the counter sleeping pill. I do hope those of you who try the tea like the way it helps calm the mind and get you to sleep naturally too.
