The price runs approximately $4.45 a quart, but it is well worth the price. This frozen desert is not only lactose free, but cholesterol and trans-fat free as well. Instead of artificial sweeteners, a mixture of organic dehydrated cane juice, organic brown rice syrup and organic tapioca syrup is used.
Organic So Delicious is also a certified vegan product. Strict guidelines are in place to prevent allergen contamination as well. Sample testing is done on their products to rule out the presence of gluten, dairy, peanut and almond allergens.
Out of all the past frozen desserts I have tasted, this is one of the absolute greatest. Before I was a vegan, I ate my fill of ice-cream, frozen yogurts, sorbets and other ice-cream novelties. Right now my favorite flavor is Chocolate Velvet. As the name implies, it is certainly velvety! I was so happy to find that this dessert is just the right consistency for an ice-cream replacement. It is sweet, creamy and smooth. Any chocolate lover would love this!
Another reason that this product is worth the price, is that Turtle Mountain is actively doing something about our environment. The company believes in sustainable agriculture. Sustainable agriculture reduces the amount of water used in growing crops. It also reduces and/or eliminates biocide. Recycled organic materials are used for fertilizer. Sustainable
agriculture also helps soil conservation.
Another example as to how Turtle Mountain is beneficial, is that they have partnered with the Sea Turtle Restoration Project (STRP). Turtle Mountain provides money to the STRP, and by printing information on their packaging they provide awareness.
Organic So Delicious is a great healthy alternative to regular ice-cream. The taste is so rich and delicious, that even people who do not necessarily enjoy vegan products will like it.
Give it a try! Not only will you be treating yourself to something great; you will be helping out the environment as well!

Great job, Ada! Though I eat dairy, I really like this brand and would recommend it to my vegan friends. My hasband can't eat chocolate, and he loves the orange vanilla flavor!
I've never had a dairy free dessert, but this sounds delicious. Plus, I love hearing about companies that actively support the environment.
It sounds really good! The Tofutti flavors are so boring and I like what this company is doing.
Sounds delicious, especially for my lactose intolerant daughter. We'll have to try it if we can find it down south! Great review.
My daughter loves this. She is allergic to milk and this is her ice cream dessert. In fact we basically have replaced it as all of our sweet snack.
Ah, ice cream. That's something I won't be seeing for months. I'm on a diet. But I certainly enjoyed the thought.
I've always wanted to try this. I've tried the soy ice cream sandwiches and those were good. Seriously going to go out and buy this now.
Nice review and hadn't heard of it before.
