The VillaWare waffle boat maker is a nifty little appliance that makes two shallow oblong "boats" of waffle goodness. They are great for filling with ice cream and dessert toppings. The waffles are perfectly shaped for little ones to pick up and eat with their hands.
The non-stick surface performs flawlessly, time and again. A friendly beep lets you know when the waffles have baked to perfection.
Sleek and small, the Boat Maker takes up little counter/cabinet space. The cord wraps underneath making it a neat package to put away standing on end.
The only drawback of this unit is a tendency for waffle batter to collect and become dried on to the top lip of the unit. It takes a little added effort to clean up afterwards. A cookie sheet under the iron is a good idea to catch overflow in case too much batter was added.
This iron is a good choice for waffle dessert enthusiasts and those seeking a delicious homemade breakfast.
