Vegecol toner is one of the products in a three step system called vegecol by Aubrey Organics specially formulated for sensitive skins. It was formulated without any alcohols or fragrances so it's extra gentle on the skin. It contains aloe to soothe the skin, and witch hazel and lavender to refresh the skin. Overall, I kind of like this toner.
It has a very funny scent. I wouldn't say that this smells offensive. This smells like a flat coke that has been left outside for too long. I usually look for a toner that is refreshing and the smell gives it away as anything but refreshing. The no fragrance thing is very good and I wouldn't want them to change the formula just to make the fragrance more refreshing, but flat coke smell, I think, wouldn't work for anything.
You can just tell that Vegecol toner will be just so gentle just by reading about it, and when I put it on, I feel like putting some water in my cotton ball and putting that on my face. Seriously, it feels so much like water that I regretted buying this as soon as I put this on for the very first time. And I wanted to return it but since all I had was that clarifying lotion that gives me so much irritation that I wanted to keep this until I buy another one.
I used this for a little more than a month and here are few things I like about Vegecol. Fist of all, being alcohol free and all, it is very gentle. If you have a sensitive skin and ever need a toner that is very, very gentle. This is the way to go. It feels like water, so I can't imagine this giving anyone trouble, even for the most sensitive. Another thing that I like about this is that it is pretty moisturizing. The description that I found on the Aubrey Organics' website said that this lightly hydrates the skin and it actually does exactly that. Most of the toners that I came across just stripped away the moisture and this feels so comfortable and hydrating. Also, if you need those small dry flakes to disappear with the toner this will make it happen and in a very gentle way. Even with the Clinique's Clarifying Lotion, I found that you need to rub the dry flakes away with the cotton ball soaked in the toner and it kind of irritates the skin. And Vegecol will do just that without the irritation.
So, I have decided to keep the bottle and finish it seeing there is only very small amount left. I probably wouldn't buy this again because I don't like the smell but if that doesn't matter to you, this does a great job as a toner without any irritation so you should give it a try, especially if you have a sensitive skin.
