The first, and most important aspect of a wireless company, is coverage as far as I'm concerned. If you receive minimal coverage in many of the areas you use your cell phone in, it's annoying. Nothing like moving around until you end up in the only bizarre position that gives you enough of those wonderful signal bars. I don't have to do that with Verizon. I don't often end up in remote areas, so I know that each time I use my phone I will have adequate signal strength.
The second most important thing I desire in a wireless service is call quality. If you have static or an occasional high pitched squelching sound, normal phone conversation becomes near impossible. You should not have to scream into your phone or reconnect with someone before you can actually hear each other. (I often had these problems with T-Mobile, and had a few different brands of phones at the time. The problem wasn't the phone.) Since I have been on Verizon, I cannot recall making a phone call that wasn't clear.
I cannot say much about the customer service for Verizon. I'm sure their customer service is great but I have never had to call Verizon. I had to call once to activate my phone, and the person who walked me through that seemed friendly and helpful. Since then, I've been able to do what I need online.
As far as price is concerned, my phone bill is about $10 cheaper with Verizon. I have less anytime minutes, but the plan I have is otherwise comparable to what I had with T-Mobile. The advantage is that most people I converse or text with are also on Verizon, so I don't need as many anytime minutes as I previously did.
Overall, I have been very satisfied with all aspects of Verizon Wireless. The one drawback is that I picked an LG phone, which apparently doesn't have a great battery life. I already have to charge the phone every few days and I don't talk on it all day either. That, however, I consider to be an LG thing, not necessarily a Verizon thing.
