Product Review: V'Tae Sacred Fire Body Lotion

A Sensory Delight

Langley Cornwell
V'Tae body care products are decadent and delicious. These products make a great gift or an indulgent personal treat. I was introduced to the V'TAE product line years ago and have remained a loyal fan.

V'TAE is an ecologically conscious company; the products are known for using only clean and natural ingredients. The line is 100% cruelty-free and PETA-approved. I also appreciate the fact that V'Tae body care products come in recyclable or reusable packaging.

Product Description

Sacred Fire body lotion has a warm and pure fragrance with no hint of chemical or artificial smell. It is a sensual scent with real staying power. In fact, I've been told that V'Tae Sacred Fire Body Lotion smells haunting. It's the kind of fragrance people notice and ask about (in a good way).

Based on ancient Ayurvedic traditions V'Tae Sacred Fire Body Lotion is formulated to, as the company states, 'celebrate the god and goddess' within all of us. It's exotic, almost sexy scent is derived from essential oils and balsams found in nature. V'Tae Sacred Fire Body Lotion glides on effortlessly and is absorbed quickly - leaving skin feeling silky smooth and smelling intoxicatingly fragrant.

Amber (made with rose, jasmine, labdanum, strayx, and vanilla) is the primary smell in Sacred Fire Body Lotion, providing a warm and sensual fragrance. According to the product label, Amber has been 'treasured since ancient times for its potent beauty and tenacity.' Additionally, sandalwood, frankincense, Himalayan cedar, davana, osmanthus, pomouwood, and coriander are included to round out the uniquely rich scent.

These heady fragrances combine with a luscious blend of sweet almond, avocado, organic safflower and jojoba oils to produce a sleek and moisturizing body lotion that is rich in essential fatty acids.

V'TAE products are made with the highest standards, a luscious blend of carefully selected essential oils and natural ingredients that contain no artificial coloring. Sure, the company claim for Sacred Fire is a bit grandiose, but V'Tae products do make you feel indulgent.

Product Ingredients

According to the website, VTAE's Sacred Fire Lotion contains Pure Essential Oils, Shea Butter, Aloe Vera, Vitamin E, Avocado, Sesame Oil, Jojoba, Olive Oil, Sea Salt and Plant Extracts.

Price and Availability

VTAE's Sacred Fire Lotion is available directly from the V'TEA website, Amazon.com and several other online retailers. Additionally, many day spas carry the complete V'TAE product line and some of the more popular products can be found at natural food stores. Prices for an 8 oz. bottle of V'Tae Sacred Fire Body Lotion range between $13.00 - $18.00.

Additional Consideration

For those who are sensitive to smells, these products may be a bit potent. I do not recommend wearing a perfume in addition to V'Tae Sacred Fire Body Lotion, although personally I could not imagine why you would want to. On occasion I have sprayed on a bit of Sacred Fire Body Mist to amplify the fragrance. But I advise against using a competing perfume with this highly fragranced body lotion.

Overall Recommendation

V'Tae Sacred Fire Body Lotion is a great product for many reasons. The lotion is made with the highest quality natural ingredients and the purest essential oils; with no artificial coloring. The texture and smell back up this claim.

I absolutely recommend Sacred Fire Body Lotion. It is a simple indulgence that is worth the price. And you save money by eliminating the need for perfume.
