Product Review: West Bend 58030 30-Cup Coffee Maker

Trending News
We have had this West Bend 58030 30-Cup Coffee Maker for over a dozen years and it just keeps on making a good cup of coffee at our backyard parties.

Though the bright aluminum outside body is scuffed and not quite as clean looking as it once was, it still holds up looking well. It rests on four plastic legs that are sturdy and have never been a problem.

The plastic lid slides and lifts off. The interior stem is also aluminum while the grind basket is plastic. It all cleans well but at this time I would never heat water up for tea in it. After a dozen years use the coffee smell permeates the inside of the pot.

The West Bend 58030 30 cup coffee maker has line markers inside and out for 12, 18, 24 and 30 cups that are still easily visible.

The front lever works with a lift motion or a downward motion shutting off when the handle is released in resting position. The lever is exactly 4' above table line so most cups fit under it without problem.

A red light indicator on the bottom helps to be sure all is working well.

We still use this West bend 30 cup coffee maker regularly including this last weekend for our anniversary party. After all these years it still looks good and makes a good cup of coffee. It's been a dependable workhorse every time we have used it.

Perhaps it will still be around for our fiftieth anniversary in ten years! I will update then.
