One cool phone that has just enough features but doesn't beak your wallet is the "snapper" model. The sleek black phone easily fits into the palm of your hand. The front of the phone has a clear display telling you the time, day, coverage and how much battery power you have. You also have the flash and digital camera lens. When you open the phone inside you have a clear full color screen with your contacts and menu options. The backlight that you can decide to keep on for so many seconds or unlimited is a cool medium blue color.
On your menu you have options of: Pictures, My Account, Messaging, Virgin XL, My Stuff, Contacts, Recent calls, Tools and Settings.
Pictures offer you the ability to look at your pictures, review pictures you've received, send a picture message and take a picture. You can take a self portrait picture of yourself where on the outside screen you can see a black and white picture of yourself. The picture itself comes in color. You can add frames, flash, timer, picture controls such as quality, contrast, lighting and image. You can also change the shutter sound.
My account allows you to view and top up from your phone.
Messaging allows you to read, view past messages, delete and send text messages.
Virgin XL for a daily fee allows you to sign up, buy games, downloads, ringtones and wallpaper. You can cancel at anytime via you phone or by calling their customer service.
My Stuff contains your ring tones, games, IMing option as such AOL, graphics and sounds.
Contacts are where you can review, delete and edit your contacts.
Recent calls informs you of your missed, incoming and outgoing calls. You can view the date and time of the call.
Tools has voice where you can record a memo and play it via regular or on the phone's speakerphone. There's also an alarm, schedule, calculator, stopwatch and world clock.
Settings is where you can change your sounds of your phone such as ring tone and messenger sounds, your display of the screen, call options, game settings and your phone's security code.
I'd say this phone isn't too bad for the price. But the speakerphone needs some work on it. Also Virgin Mobile before had better rates. Before was a deal of only $0.70 a day for unlimited calling to 3 people for nights and weekends. Now it costs over $30.00 a month to have the same option. Plans start as low as $14.99 a month but can go as high as $99.99 a month. The customer service is great but I highly suggest checking out the rates before buying one of their phones. This phone cost me around $99.00 but now has gone down to around $79.00. Some phones on their website are free when you sign up for their service. The official website is: http://www.virginmobile.com
