Products for a "Green" Car

Della R. Buckland
They say that "green is the new black", everything from clothing to food has taken on the environmentally conscious mind during production of their goods. But what about vehicles? This article offers five products that can help the owner make their vehicle greener, efficient and earth friendly. This article offers websites where the products can be found and purchased if not available at their local automotive store.

1. Simple Green Car Wash (www.simplegreen.com). This car wash still retains all of the cleaning and biodegradable power that the original Simple Green cleaning solution has, but has been further re-engineered to be gentle on the vehicle's paint and outer surfaces, thus it will not leave the finish dull. This product is also biodegradable which does not harm the environment. Even better, the bottle itself is made from recycled plastic and is recyclable itself.

2. Good Grease (www.greasecar.com). We have all seen the diesel vehicles that run on old french fry grease, now you can also. This kit (costs approximately $800) will help convert your diesel burning vehicle into a vehicle that runs on vegetable oil, including waste oil from fast food restaurants. This product will still use diesel for starting up and shutting down the vehicle, but once the vegetable oil has reached the proper viscosity, you can switch over and run on the oil.

3. E3 Spark Plugs (www.e3sparkplugs.com). This product aims to promote a clean and complete burn of fuel, thus reducing emissions during long term use. A simple spark plug change is all that is needed and your vehicle will soon have more power delivered while using less fuel.

4. Green Air Filters (www.autoanything.com). Washable air filters that go 50,000 miles between cleanings. No further need for disposable air filters which end up landfills. When the time comes to change the air filter, just wash, let dry and reinstall into vehicle. Comes built for any make, model or year of vehicle and they are backed by a life time warranty.

5. Freedom Waterless Car Wash (www.enviroautospa.net). Dusty cars are cause for some to pull out hoses and waste water just to clean their vehicle. No longer is that the case, this product allows one to clean without the use of water. The environmentally safe cleaner is simply applied to a mircofiber cloth and rubbed onto the car - in short, washing the car. The microfiber cloth can be laundered and used over and over again. The kits come complete with everything needed to clean the vehicle. It should be noted that this product is not intended for vehicles with an excess build up of dirt, mud or sand. The products range from car wash to tire shine.
