When the kitchen is a mess, life can quickly become chaotic. Think of all the activities that go on in your kitchen. Food preparation and storage, family communication, paperwork organization....a lot occurs in this very busy room of the house. In order to streamline the kitchen, you need to have a plan in action that will help to organize the space and make it more efficient. The products we've listed below will help with kitchen organization and work to streamline the kitchen in a more productive way.

Streamline the kitchen - Straighten what's in sight

It can be difficult to keep countertops and visible kitchen space clear of clutter. These areas seem to be a catchall for everything. You can help organize the kitchen and keep it clutter free with any of the products we've listed.

Appliance hutch - An appliance hutch is an attractive cabinet that sits on the countertop and keeps frequently used small appliances out of sight. Install it in the corner and keep the toaster, blender, food processor, and so on, organized and in one convenient place.

Hooks - 'S' hooks are a lifesaver in the kitchen. They can be screwed in beneath cabinet space and used to hold coffee mugs, cooking utensils, pot holders, and more. Don't want to attach the hooks to your cabinets? No problem. Install a metal rod on the wall and use larger 'S' hooks to securely hold items instead.

Magnetic sorters - Place magnetic sorters, which are bins that magnetically stick to the refrigerator, to keep small items organized and off the countertops.

Shelving - Get cookbooks and canisters off the counters and display them on attractive shelving instead. Shelving can be used to group spices, homemade jams, jars of candy, and much more.

Over the cabinet space- Most kitchen cabinets have space above them. This space is perfect for displaying decorative items, which also helps to free-up counter space and help streamline the kitchen. This area can be used to store glass vases, or infrequently used cookie jars and other containers too.

Streamline the kitchen - Organize what you can't see too!

Just because things stay hidden inside the cabinet, doesn't mean they shouldn't be kept organized. When you take the time to sort out canned goods, storage containers, and the like, you make your life a lot easier. Incorporate any, or all, or these products to help streamline the kitchen.

Lazy Susan - A Lazy Susan is a multi-level circular insert that installs inside a corner cabinet. It rotates so that it can hold many different items, such as canned goods or Tupperware, without wasting space. This product will help streamline the kitchen more than anything else because it eliminates empty cabinet space and provides ample storage for frequently and infrequently used items.

Lid organizers - How many times have you had to bend down and dig through the cabinet looking for the right pot or pan lid? A lid organizer will put a stop to that forever! These handy products install right inside the cabinet door, and keep lids neat, organized, and on-hand for when you need them. You can also use these affordable racks to hold plastic container lids.

Spice racks - Built-in spice racks are a great way to streamline the kitchen and make finding what you need, a snap. Choose from spice racks that install right inside the cabinet door, or inside a pull-out drawer.

Roll-out trays - Make the most of your cabinet space by installing roll-out trays that double your storage area. Kits can be purchased at your local home improvement store and installed inside your existing cabinetry. The trays create two levels of storage and 'roll out' so that you can see what's inside the cabinets without bending over.
