Remove your dentures every night. Put them to sleep in a denture hopper. The hopper should be filled with half warm water and half mouth wash. The teeth area, gums, and mouth plate are denture brush safe. Place a towel in the sink when you brush dentures to soften the blow should you drop them. Dropped dentures can break.

If time has loosen your dentures, you may need to use a denture fixative. Shrinking gums and even weight loss can cause dentures to slip. Use an over the counter denture adhesive to ensure they stay put. Apply a small dab of adhesive for best control. See your dentist to have dentures relined for a proper fit. Dentures may need relining every couple of years. See your dentist twice a year for denture check ups. Proper care will prolong the life span of dentures.
