Professional Quality, TRESemme Naturals Radiant Volume Shampoo

Susan Slade
When walking the aisles of Walgreens drugstore, I couldn't resist buying TRESemme Naturals Radiant Volume Shampoo. It was reduced down from $6 to $1.59. I was so surprised because this is a big, 25 fluid ounce (739 ml) bottle.

The bottle is black and has a green, press down, flip up lid to it. It states on the front that it is "Used by Professionals, New, Lower sulfates, with sweet orange".

I have to say that when it comes to shampoo, I prefer brand names to generic, and being professional quality I figured that this could be a winner.

So I took my new bottle of shampoo into the shower with me. I stood under the shower to wet my hair, and the pressed down on the green top. I had to hold the bottle against my body to do this, as the flip top was tight, and stiff. Also I didn't want this heavy bottle falling down on my toes. It really doesn't have a grip to it, and could easily go through my fingers.

It states in the directions to "Coat wet hair with a liberal amount of shampoo". I squeezed an amount of the clear, fairly thick liquid, into the palm of my hand, and it pretty much covered the middle. I would say that it was twice the size of a quarter.

I then put my hands together and massaged the shampoo into my hair. I loved the fresh citrus smell of it, and the lather was amazing. I think I probably used too much shampoo, but it worked so well, that I didn't have to do a second application.

I rinsed off my hair, and then put my fingers through it. I had no tangles, and it felt really clean. I just used a cheap conditioner on it, so that I would know if a 'Professional shampoo', was any better than regular ones.

Once out of the shower, I used a gel on my hair, and then blow dried it. My normally thin, limp hair, looked as if it had more fullness. I then used the curling iron on it. I teased my hair all over, and then used a comb, and spray, to put it into a French twist.

My hair was really easy to style, and the top of my hair, and the French twist had volume. It looked as if I had a good head of hair.

What TRESemme say about this shampoo, from the back of the bottle:

TRESemme Naturals offers you a lower sulfate cleansing alternative to the rest of our TRESemme line. With USDA certified organic sweet orange extracts. TRESemme Naturals Radiant Volume Shampoo keeps hair strong and manageable. Hair feels healthy and won't get dried out. Hair just looks shiny and feels incredibly lightweight. Discover 10X stronger hair after just one use.

With lower sulfates. No dyes. Hypoallergenic. Safe for color treated hair. Not tested on animals."

The first day I used the TRESemme shampoo I went dancing in the evening, and I had some compliments on my hair. One lady asked me what hairdresser I was using. It puts a smile on my face, when I tell people that I cut, color, and style my hair myself.

My hair looked good until I washed it after 4 days. I again used the TRESemme shampoo, with a different conditioner, and had the same results.

That's a great price for so much shampoo. I would have had to snap that up too.
