Description:

The Mi-Ki is part of the small dog breed family. It is also one of the more popular breed of dogs. Their torsos are rather long compared to their short-stubby legs. Mi-Ki's heads are circular and accompanied by short snouts. The ears are really long and droopy. And, finally, the tail is also naturally long and slender.

The fur on this breed of dog is quite long. Standard fur length on this dog is about 3" long. Texture of the fur is soft kind of like human hair. Colors don't vary with this breed. Mi-Ki's come in one pattern color, which is white fur with big black patches.

Height:

Height between the two genders will not vary in this breed of dog. Both the male and female will stand to be a height of 10 - 11 inches (25-28 cm) tall. Females will sometimes stand to be a little shorter than the male, but they can stand to be just as tall or even taller than the male.

Weight:
Weight between the two genders will not vary in this breed of dog. Both the male and female can weigh up to 10 pounds (5 k g.) It is not healthy to allow your Mi-Ki to weigh 4 pounds less than the 10 pounds or weigh 5.5 pounds over 10 pounds. By keeping your dog within these limits will make sure your Mi-Ki remains in healthy shape.

Temperament:

The Mi-Ki dog is an excellent companion. They are highly intelligent. Training can come a little hard time to time because of the dog's intelligence. They tend to be a tad on the "independent" side. Besides being intelligent and being an excellent companion for all people the Mi-Ki is alert, playful, gentle, caring, active, and calm. This breed of dog is loving toward all people and will do fine around strangers. They actually crave the attention to socialize with the human race. Mi-Ki's hardly bark, too.

Life Span:
There is no specific life span that this breed will live, but we do know that they live way into their teens.

Living conditions:
The Mi-Ki makes the perfect apartment dog. They don't require a yard because they can easily be trained to use a litter box. Mi-Ki's can live outdoors but generally do better indoors.

Health problems:

This breed of dog is generally healthy. There is a risk of breathing problems due to their short muzzles. The short muzzle normally restricts airways which causes your Mi-Ki to have difficulty in the breathing area at times. This conditions in NOT normally fatal but could become so.
