Around the country, foreign brides have become increasingly trendy. Perhaps it's because of increasing acceptance in pop culture, or maybe it's because modern life can be so lonely, but an incredible number of people are exploring the possibility of finding love abroad and online.
I'm a firm believer that any kind of social trend represents an opportunity to make money, and the popularity of foreign brides is no exception. Assuming that you're not willing to invest in your own matchmaking service, the single best way to earn income on a niche like this is through an affiliate relationship with an existing service.
One such service, Affiliate4Web.com, offers 50-100% commissions on sales that range in price from approximately $10 to as much as $200. Based on those figures, you stand to make $5-200 per sale, which offers a lot of room for the advertising expenses needed to make those sales.
Obviously, there's no quick formula for making money within a particular niche. If such a formula existed, it wouldn't be long before everyone was doing it and it was no longer a good opportunity. That's why I'm going to focus instead on general ideas and creative approaches to promoting a Russian bride affiliate program.
E-mail Newsletters: Consider the type of person who might be interested in marrying a foreign bride, and then think about the kind of interests those individuals might have. You can develop a free e-mail newsletter that targets those interests, and use that relationship to promote your involvement in affiliate programs while you're at it.
Pay-Per-Click Advertising: By signing up with the major search engines, you can pay for visitors on a per-click basis. Given the large commissions in the Russian bride niche, there's plenty of room for the trial and error needed to become successful.
Dating Niche Site: Sites on dating topics and advice are incredibly popular, and can bring in a great deal of traffic if filled with quality content. Once you bring people in for content, there's a good chance they'll stick around long enough to read what you have to say about Russian brides.
Recruiting New Affiliates: Many programs, like the Affiliate4Web program we mentioned, offer a second-tier affiliate program. This means that you'll earn commissions on both your sales and the sales of affiliate you recruit.
Social Media: Sites like Google Knol and Squidoo offer opportunities to create mini-sites to help promote content and affiliate programs in your chosen niche. Because these sites are well-established, you'll be able to achieve prominent search engine rankings in a fraction of the time needed to rank your own site in the search engines.
Once you've decided which approach you'd like to take, I encourage you to devote a significant amount of time to that method before moving on to another. It takes time and focus before a method will start to pan out, so it's important not to move on too quickly. Now get creative, get to work, and start making money.
