Progression and Reformation

Is there a Tea Party if nobody shows up? What if there was a militia of sensible men and women? Powerful people deal in ideas not munitions. Good folk are easy to recognize, they are unceasingly polite. Ignorant animals get eaten but stupid humans garner attention. If fatuity were fatal there would be a lot less of it and sciolism would become extinct.

Enough of platitudes. At what point does illogic end a debate? Why must we entertain the profusion of misinformation? We have suffered through decades of suppression, corporate control and hateful social inhibitions. Our greatest sins are those of omission and inaction. Now is the time to turn our backs to the mongers of dissention and march forward. Change, as we have seen is a slog through the mud but we should move ahead under the lash of our better inclinations. If we are sniped as our backs are turned shall we retaliate and act just as dangerous and impolite as the whiners?

I would love to see Carl Rove hanging in the city square, Rush Limbaughs' head resting on a pike or Cheney in a dark foreign prison enduring unending torture but I am human, supposedly a higher being and what I want to do is ignore the bad noise and dance to the uplifting music. Threats and fist shacking are just so much distraction but if the rhetoric becomes life threatening and is acted upon we shall not stand abused. I do want to war against bad ideas but defend your right to be peacefully ignorant.

How to fight polite? Barak is trying to do this but the insane boycott of ill reason implores him to act as the bully, the arm twister and the demigod of intellection. This is not the path he envisioned. Negativism is a gun to the head. You turn and fight rather than accept the bullet. The false economics of deregulation, supply side wealth creation and lassie faire risk put the world near ruin and now the fiscal criminals demand return to power while vested with taxpayer dollars. It's always about the money.

Our president is ill advised. He gives credence to bad ideas and tries to engage and entice an unflinching opposition. Progressive thought and impeccable reason must hold sway over idiocy and the reactions of the ill informed. On this there can be no compromise. At the risk of his life Obama must hold strong. All good men and women must stand fast. Embrace your neighbors and sing the songs of possibility.

I pray one day a man is allowed to speak the truth without objection or suffering time on the cross. Jesus.
