Progressive International Microwavable Omelet Maker Review

Jamie Cortez
The Progressive International microwavable omelet maker is really a hassle-free omelet maker. If you follow the old way of making an omelet using a skillet you will have to stay there and wait until it's time to turn the omelet.

With this omelet maker you just need to beat the eggs, put the eggs in the omelet maker along with veggies, onions, cheese, seasoning or whatever fillings you may like then put in the microwave and leave it be. In a couple of minutes you'll get yourself a perfectly cooked omelet. You can then slide it on a plate or just eat the omelet right out of the omelet maker if you want to.

This omelet maker is big enough to hold four eggs so you can make a fairly large omelet in one go. And since it's made from non-stick material cleaning it up is as very easy even when the omelet fillings spill over. It's also dishwasher safe so you can just let the machine clean it for you.

The downsides

The biggest downside of this omelet maker is that you can't add milk to your omelet. I know some people would make a big fuss over it because to them an omelet without milk is like no omelet at all. If you like your omelet all squishy and juicy this is definitely not for you.

The second downside is the hinges. They're kind of weak so just take it easy when you use this thing. And the final caveat is that it's made of plastic. It's high quality plastic but it's still plastic. I'm not really sure if this omelet maker should be made of metal or pyrex or something other materials but I'm sure many people would fret about putting plastic in the microwave.

Conclusion

The Progressive International microwavable omelet maker would be an interesting gadget to have in your kitchen. As long as you don't use milk in your omelet it should be able to produce excellent and tasty omelet every single time. Since it's so cheap (only $6) you should just buy one and see if it's really easier to make an omelet on this omelet maker or is the old way using a skillet is the better way to go.
