Taking 365 pictures is a fun, innovative way to capture what happens that year. While it may be difficult to find something to take a picture of each day, it might be easier than sitting down and writing in a journal daily for some people. The project should also improve your photography skills since it requires you to become familiar with your camera and use it each day.
Writing a simple caption for each picture will help you to remember later why that picture was important to you at the time. There are many online photo sites such as flickr.com or photoblog.com that will allow you to post your photos and add captions without wasting any time. They will also stay neatly organized for the year and you can share them with your friends as well.
One of the most important pieces to being successful with this goal is to bring your camera everywhere. This way, you will not miss out on opportunities to take a picture and it will be harder to make up excuses for not participating that day.
You might be wondering what you could possibly take a picture of every single day of your life without it getting boring and repetitive. Take pictures of new places that you go. Take a picture of yourself, or your children, or your significiant other every so often so that you will be able to see how they have changed. Did you try a new recipe for the first time? Snap a picture. You can take a picture of new people that you meet or anything that catches your attention throughout the day. Things that mark the time of year would make great photos as well. For example, you could take a picture of a snowstorm through your window, a picture of the table at Thanksgiving, and a picture of your birthday cake. The opportunities are endless and at the end of the year you will have a great collection of photos to remind me of each day of your project.
