Project Playlist and What to Expect

Rosa Hayes
Project Playlist is making its way into many socializing websites such as MySpace and Facebook. What is Project Playlist? Project Playlist is similar to other music profiling sites that allow you to add music that you own or music that other members have uploaded and put it into a widget to add to your blog or other social site. Remember when Last.fm came onto the scene and so many people were ecstatic over it? Project Playlist is similar to Last.fm in many ways and in fact it could possibly be its internet radio twin, as found on the website ProjectPlaylist.com.

With the new music stream of Project Playlist many are wondering what all you can do with a Project Playlist account. After looking over their site and signing up, I found some neat features that you might like and might want to add to your blog or social site. As of today there are over 33 million members of Project Playlist which is astonishing for a new site like this one.

When signing up for a Project Playlist account it requires you to enter a username, password, and email address. Once you sign up it will take you to a screen that will allow you to select an offer if you want to skip this step then just hit the button at the top that says "skip this step" and you will be taken to the log-in page.

Once you are a member and logged in you will be able to do things like create a playlist or search for an artist by song or by name. After creating your playlist you can play the music on the website or you can get a code to place the playlist on your blog or social site. On one playlist you are able to create one hundred songs to add but you can create another playlist to add another one hundred songs too.

Once you are done adding the music to your playlist you can go to the my account section and go over all the songs that are on your playlist or get the code to add the playlist to your blog or social site. On your account you can also listen to your playlist. One thing that I did notice is that when you click on another section of the Project Playlist website you will be sent to another advertisement page and you will need to click on the not right now link so or fill out the information to accept the offer.

Other than the advertisements Project Playlist seems to be a pretty descent site. One thing that I did notice that was different than Last.fm is that the music on Project Playlist doesn't mess up as much as Last.fm.

Good job, Rosa. I started to write on this but the site was crashed, so I left it. I like this idea from ProjectPlaylist.com
