Project Runway: All Star Edition

Who is Beyond Sew Sew

Rachel Heller
The fabrics are flowing and the sewing machines are humming. This can mean only one thing. This means that Project Runway will be strolling into living rooms around the world soon. Yes, get ready for Heidi, Tim, Nina, Michael, and a whole host of fashion divas that will keep viewers glued to the edge of their seats. There will be a season nine of Project Runway with a new cast of people vying to be the next great fashion designer. There will also be an all-star edition of the show. This edition of the show will feature former contestants looking to win the second time around. The show will feature eight former Project Runway fashion designers. It is fun speculating who will make the cut this time. Therefore, here is a list of eight former contestants that I hope will be more than sew so and five of former designers that I hope will not be invited back for a second walk down the runway.

Favorite Fashion Designers
1: Austin Scarlett was robbed. Austin should have gone to Fashion Week in the first season of Project Runway. He was a better designer than Wendy. I loved his bathing suit and his corn husk dress. He was creative and innovative. I hope he get a second shot on Project Runway.

2. Nick Verros was a victim of immunity. Nick left the second season of the show too early because of Daniel getting immunity in the previous challenge. I loved his Barbie doll and his dress for Nicky Hilton. I bought his Barbie doll because I am a doll collector. Nick should have a chance to strut his stuff back on the runway.

3. Michael Knight was a fashion work horse on the show. He was the most consistent contestant on the show. He made some beautiful clothes that walked down the catwalk. I loved his black and white dress. I also liked his coffee filter dress.Michael will be soul to the show.

4. Rami Kashu was the draping master of the show. I loved every outfit that Rami made on the fourth season of Project Runway. I loved the dress that he designed for the first challenge. I would wear his Hershey challenge dress and his museum challenge dress. I hope to see him make drapes on the all-star edition of the show.

5. Jerrell Scott got a raw deal on his season. He was declared the winner of the final challenge before Fashion Week. However, the judges couldn't decide on a loser; therefore, he had to compete in another challenge to make it to Fashion Week. He was eliminated. He deserves another chance to show his fashion wares down the runway.

6. Emille Sosa was a consistent designer in season seven. I liked his textile outfit. I don't think this guy made a fashion misstep on his season. He was the runner-up in his season. I can't wait to see his return to Project Runway.

7. Mondo Guerra was the Picasso of the runway in season eight. His clothes were colorful, creative, and innovative. He was nice to the judges and his designers were memorable. I loved his textile clothing outfit. In addition, he mixed pattens well. It would be a shame if he wasn't the all-star edition of Project Runway.

8. Andre Gonzalo was a riot on the second season of Project Runway. I loved his crying jag on the runway. I showed that he had a passion for fashion. I loved his rainwater inspired dress. I liked his flower dress too. I can't wait to see another fashion forward emotional outburst on television.

Least Favorite Designers
1. Wendy was a manipulator on the show. She tried to get rid of people on the show. She got through challenges by chance. She didn't deserve to go to Fashion Week. I have seen enough of Wendy Pepper on television.

2. Santino was a bit of a loud mouth. he started off strong with the first three challenges. However he designs became overdone and jokes on the runway. Also, he was rude to the judges. i liked his impression of Tim Gunn. However, his time on television should be done.

3. Kenley Collins bugged me. She couldn't take constructive criticism and he was rude to the judges. In addition, she rubbed some other designers the wrong way.

4. The designers from season six of the show weren't memorable.

5. Ivy Higa was annoying. She accused Michael of cheating. She also tried to turn other designers against him.

Project Runway will be back on television soon with a ninth season and an all-star edition. It will fun to see some of the best designers get another chance on the catwalk. There are also some designers that I hope will stay far away from the land known as Project Runway. Happy designing everyone. source: www.lifetimetv.com
