Project Runway Seven: Ready, Set and Sew

Rachel Heller
Project Runway is probably the most popular reality show on television. It is my favorite reality show because of the challenges, the contestants, and, of course, Tim Gunn. I can't wait to see what lies in store for the lucky 16 on season seven of Project Runway. Season seven is located in New York with a brand new cast of characters waiting for Tim Gunn to give his words of encouragement and wisdom, Heidi, to tell their competitors goodbye in German and to pronounce them the next great fashion designer. Based on their bios and their interviews, here are some of the designers on this season of Project Runway to watch.

Ben: Ben is 30 and lives in Florida. His favorite designer is Marc Jacobs and ben has designed a line of clothing inspired by snakes. I like Ben because he has a vision and I hope that being older will make Ben act like a fashion designer and not a drama queen on Project Runway.

Seth: Seth is a fashion designer and stylist. I live in San Diego and he used to live in San Diego. Therefore, I will be rooting for Seth to make it work. His favorite designer is Christian Dior.

Ping: Ping is a physical therapist, fashion designer, and owns her own design studio. In her casting interview, she showed the judges how many ways that they could wear her hat. She is an architectural designer, like Laura Bennett on season three of Project Runway. I can't wait to see how her Chinese background influences her designs. I was born in Chicago and Ping lives in Chicago.

Amy: Amy is adorable and I loved her mushroom inspired blouse that she showed the judges during her casting interview. The blouse looked like a cross between fashion, food, and Alice in Wonderland. Amy also designed for Old Navy. Good Luck, Amy.

Jesse: Jesse is an actor and a designer for the House of Kilroy; watch out Dennis DeYoung. Jesse's favorite fashion designer is Tom Ford. He is adorable and reminds me of Reid from The Bachelorette.

Pamela: Pamela favorite designer is God; so she could be a wild card this season on Project Runway. She is a fashion designer and she teaches fashion design in at a college.

The seventh season of Project Runway is about to launch on January 14th. I can't wait to see who the designers will have to create for at a moment's notice. Hopefully, they will visit some inspirational places and we will see some world class drama. Project Runway equals ready, set, and sew.
