Project Runway's Season 4 "Eye Candy" Episode

Tonight's Project Runway Season 4 episode, titled Eye Candy had the remaining designers use items from Hershey's Times Squares as raw materials. In lieu of the standard fabric budget, they each had 5 minutes to stock up on anything - and everything - in Hershey's store, including chocolate kisses, twizzlers and stuffed candy pillows.

While the post-outing scene was vaguely reminiscent of a Willy Wonka-esque fantasy as designers danced around with their treats, once the clock started ticking, some designers plummeted to a sugar low. Ralph Lauren employee Jillian was the only Project Runway contestant who chose to design an edible dress - most designers chose a safer route and only worked with sewable materials.

At the end, it was down to former Runway teammates Sweet Pea and Elisa. While Sweet Pea was critized for her boring silver dress, after the judge's final weigh-in, Heidi Klum said "auf weidersehn" to Elisa. Finally! Since the second episode, when Elisa spit marked cloth, her days were numbered. While Elias' wacky ways made her an interesting television character (and her London car accident an aweful story), her designs were always on the bottom. Sadly, she never was quite able to live up to her self-proclaimed "Avant Garde" artist status. Rather than looking cutting edge and ahead of the times, Elisa's garments tended to look oversized, dated and plain old frumpy.

While Jillian was lauded for her unique and meticulously-crafted design, Rami went away with the nights winning design. I predict that these two designers will go head to head with Kevin in the Project Runway Season 4 finale in Bryant Park.

Agreed...it was about time that Elisa was voted off!
