Prom Restaurants in Tucson Arizona

M. Sottosanti
When I think way back (ha!) to my Prom night, I remember staying out all night until the wee hours of the next morning, so when I hear the words "Prom Restaurants" the ones that are open for 24 hours come to mind. Below are 5 of those restaurants in Tucson, Arizona.

IHOP is open 24 hours. I've been in an IHOP restaurant when girls who are all dressed up have come in to eat after a big event. I'm sure everyone knows they are famous for their delicious pancakes and they have a wide variety of breakfast, lunch and dinner items on their menu, serving breakfast foods all day and night long. Their prices are extremely reasonable, often offering all-you-can-eat and other specials. All the times I have been to IHOP I have never been disappointed with taste and/or price. It's a friendly and busy place to be at all hours. There are 5 IHOP restaurants here in Tucson which are very conveniently located throughout town. They are located at:
1). 1500 W. Grant Road 85745; telephone number: 520-798 3371;
2). 5101 E. Grant Road 85712; telephone number: 520-323 3144;
3). 4187 N. Oracle Road 85705; telephone number: 520-293 3003;
4). 7945 E. Broadway Blvd. 85710; telephone number: 520-546 9140; and
5). 8445 N. Cerius Stravenue 85742; telephone number: 520-744 1316.

The Broadway Café is another of my favorite 24 restaurants here in Tucson. Don't let the name fool you; it's not just a café. It's a diner that resembles the one like in the television show, Happy Days, with metal stools at the counter, old fashion tables and red chairs and booths, black-and-white checkered floors and a juke box on every table. They also have a big juke box playing for free at all times. Famous people's signed photos decorate one wall. They have a great American menu, including your favorite malt shake and their prices are very reasonable. This is a very fun restaurant to be in at all hours of the day and night. They are located at:
4330 E Broadway Blvd. 85711; telephone number: 520-327-1957.

Denny's is a well-known 24 hours restaurant chain and I just heard that Long Island is getting their first. If you're familiar with Denny's you're familiar with their famous Grand Slam Breakfast, which is huge and often just $3.99. Like IHOP they have a big American menu and their prices may even be a bit less than IHOP. There are 9 Denny's restaurants here in Tucson which are also very conveniently located throughout town. They are located at:
1). 6484 E. Broadway Blvd. 85710; telephone number: 520-747-9594;
2). 3655 E. Speedway Blvd. 85716; telephone number: 602-326-4061;
3). 4040 E. 22ND Street 85711; telephone number: 520-745-3904;
4). 5000 Oracle Road 85704; telephone number: 520-888-5195;
5). 4920 W. Ina Road 85743; telephone number: 520-744-6805;
6). 3702 E. Irvington 85714; telephone number: 520-745-2099;
7). 2630 E. Valencia Road 85706; telephone number: 520-294-6131;
8). 1510 W. Valencia Road 85746; telephone number: 520- 295-1955; and
9). 555 N. Freeway 85745; telephone number: 520-623-8249.

Waffle House is another well-known restaurant chain. I haven't been to one in many years but the fact they are still in business must mean a good thing. Of course they are known for their waffles. They have 2 general American menus: breakfast and lunch/dinner and their prices are extremely reasonable. There are 5 in Tucson all quite close to our Interstates and one near the airport. They are located at:
1). 709 W. Starrpass Blvd. 85713; telephone number: 520-792-9393;
2). 1380 W. Grant Road 85745; telephone number: 520-623-4406;
3). 3565 E. Irvington 85713; telephone number: 520-790-8630;
4). 2701 E. Valencia Road 85706; telephone number: 520-573-1551; and
5). 4601 W. Ina Road 85741; telephone number: 520-579-7034.

Los Betos Mexican Restaurant has 8 locations throughout Tucson but their only full restaurant open 24 hours is located near the University Of Arizona campus at:
914 E Speedway Blvd. 85719; telephone number: 520-884-5291.
They have a many food choices on their menu and their prices are extremely reasonable. It might be fun to mingle with University students on Prom night here too.

Have a lot of fun on Prom night. You're only that young once.
