Promoting Sexuality for Ten Year Olds: Planned Parenthood Goes to Far!

Planned Parenthood Promoting Sex for Young Children

Jack Wellman
Planned Parenthood has sunk to a new low, if this is possible. The Examiner reports that through their affiliate, the International Planned Parenthood Federation, they are now advocating and proposing to have contraceptive sex education become mandatory as early as age ten. This recommendation comes through their initiative "Stand and Deliver - Sex, Health and Young People in the 21st Century. I realize that Planned Parenthood promotes abortion, but aren't they now almost promoting sex in young children? This agency is documented for reducing the parental role in sex education and sex responsibility for their children and has been blaming religious organizations of "denying young people the pleasurable and positive aspects of sex".

Planned Parenthood's report actually accuses religions, from Christianity to Islam, of prohibiting contraceptive information to young children and that organized religions have built barriers preventing free access to information and services about sex and contraception. The report claims that "...religious teachings deny the pleasurable and positive aspects of sex...". The report goes on to say that sex education classes should present sex to young people as a "positive force for change and development, as a source of pleasure, an embodiment of human rights and an expression of self."

The Examiner quotes Catholic author and syndicated talk show host, Teresa Tomeo as saying that "Money is a major part of their agenda...They make money off abortion and contraception. The more people engaging in risky sexual behavior, the bigger their business in abortions". I find this outrageous and a severe conflict of interest. And their interests (money) come at the extreme expense of young children. The report has a roaring silence regarding marriage and fidelity issues or sexually transmitted diseases. I find that Planned Parenthood is willing to sell out our young children's promiscuous sexual behavior for money for the organization. That is about as despicable as it gets. I just had to blow the whistle on them. I thank the Examiner for finding out such a horrendous report and I simply had to submit this report to my other websites and to Associated Content as well.

Thank you Mr. Delvisco. Tell me where the facts are distorted sir. You are fine with teaching these decrepit things to ten year old children?

  • Sal Delvisco4/12/2012

To, two, too. Please learn the difference if you ever expect anyone to take anything you have to say seriously. In addition, it would help to use facts to develop your opinions, but I'm sure that since you are a religious man, proof and facts don't really matter to you. Of course, using misleading language and misrepresenting the truth is lying, and a pastor should care about that.

This article just goes to show that a parent's job is never done when it comes to the raising of their children. Let our children be children. All too soon the world will be trying to mold them into all this type of behavior. It's a downright shame and travesty and disrespect for our children.

I will not take it the wrong way. I provided a source and the Examiner is a highly reputable magazine. Please check on the source to see my source and the Examiner's own source. There are at least two reputable sources which both of which I have checked.

Don't take this the wrong way, but where are you getting your information? If you have ever spoken to Planned Parenthood, then you would know that the promotion of sex and sexual pleasure is NOT their mission statement. They are not going into 10-year old's classrooms to discuss sex, they only go into a few high schools. If parents want assistance for teaching their children about sex, they will assist.

No, I don't want them oblivious, but neither do I want them stimulated or to promote sex to them. ANd to teach young children, boys and girls that sex should be seen as a source of pleasure, an embodiment of human rights and an expression of self is blatanly wrong.

While I can understand the issues that arise with introducing sex earlier to children, one must also keep in mind that girls are beginning to menstruate earlier. Do you really want your girls to be completely oblivious to what their bodies are going through and not take the precautions of a woman who can conceive a child and carry it to term?

Thanks for this article! As other comments have stated I've also talked to former PP employees and other similar groups pushing and promoting not just standard sex education but far more graphic and inappropriate "information" to early grade school children. It definitely is a new low in my opinion. Lyn - I totally understand what you said about being glad your kids are homeschooled!

Isn't it ridiculous? A lady I mentioned in my last article, Carol Everett, says she was trained by PP to go into even FIRST and SECOND gade classes (that's 6,7,8 year olds) and talk about sex and make parents look stupid. Yes, actual PP training. Thanks for this article.
