Prone to Write

Harold Dean Sink
Sitting to write against my will

I might as will take a chill pill.

The subjects come and go.

If only my writing would really flow.

My head shakes at ideas that come.

Wish I could wish them done.

Much work is ahead for me.

Wish writing could be second nature for me.

Poems, too, are much a test.

They sometimes seem only second best.

Time certainly flies when not much to do,

And can easily get away from you.

I must press on to survive

In order to stay alive.

Such a task to sit and write.

Someday things will be alright.

I don't write as much as I used to, but I do find it as a way to put my thoughts on paper or on the computer.  View profile

A soothing combination of thought and idea, and truly shows the writer at work, on anxiety and on the page. Me? I have to write to survive. You said it better. Thanks for sharing!
