Propagandhi Announce Summer Tour in Support of Supporting Caste

Band Known for Limited Touring Hit Road to Support Fantastic New Album

Punk-rock stalwarts Propagandhi have always had a limited touring schedule do in part to the band's political beliefs that placed many clubs on a "no play" list. Now fresh on the heels of their most recent release Supporting Caste, the band have announced a summer tour. The band will be hitting up parts of the US in May and June with New York post-hardcore act Bridge and Tunnel and Richmond based political punks Strike Anywhere.

Propagandhi's latest release, Supporting Caste, is the band's fifth album and continues the expansion of their punk sound. It was record in their own home studio as well as at the legendary punk studio the Blasting Room. Over the course of the record you will hear everything from the frantic pop-punk that made the band stars of the punk scene, to brutal chugging hardcore, thrash inspired shredding, and even more emotionally laced post-hardcore. It marks another complex and varied release for a band already known for morphing their sound. The mix of tones however is sure to bring older and newer fans of the band together as it explores their entire catalog of sounds. The band's excellent musicianship is also on display with blazing guitar solos, detailed riffs, thunderous and technical drumming, and a mixture of epic and dangerous vocal cadences.

The band have already logged in some east coast tour dates this year, but in the summer they will be hitting up southern, western, and mid-western parts of the United States. The two supporting acts also make sense considering that they are both politically conscious bands that stress social issues in their lyrics more than personal matters. Bridge and Tunnel wrap intricate guitar and bass lines around aggressive beats as they shift from meditative reflections that recall emo's heyday to explosive assaults of unrestrained rock. Strike Anywhere are also vets of the punk scene having release three influential albums that walk the fine line between melodic hardcore and pop-punk.
