Presently, there are many properties for rental in Paphos, Cyprus. During the months November to February brings cheaper rental prices for long term private rental property. In summer months from April to October the market is booming and it is much harder to find a suitable property, such as, a villa or pent house. So, the best time to look for property is during the winter months.
There are many holiday makers coming to Cyprus and buying property for investment purposes and then advertising them for long term private rental property. There are mostly apartments available, but not that many villas on offer. There is a vast amount of building work of properties today going on, especially for apartments. The amount of properties that are empty and have not been sold is enormous. Of course, this gives the buyer wanting to buy abroad more choice and to be able to bargain for their properties where prices are concerned.
Villas with pools are usually very expensive to rent long term, but at today's market it is fairly cheaper now. The recession has brought prices down. A reasonable three bedroom villa can be found now for 600 euro per month for long term rental. A four bedroom villa can be found at 750 to 850 euro per month. Apartments are much cheaper. A one bedroom fully furnished apartment with air conditioning can start from 200 euro per month with a communal pool on site and under cover parking. A two bedroom fully furnished apartment can be rented for 300 euro per month with a pool on site. All these properties would relatively be brand new and in good condition. Some properties may be furnished or unfurnished with air conditioning. Most Cyprus properties would always provide air conditioning, unless they are older properties.

It is easy to find property for long term rent in Cyprus. If you are abroad and cannot get to Cyprus often, then there are many websites that show a great deal of choice of properties with some brilliant pictures too. You can do a property search using www.google.com or check out the following websites www.buysellcyprus.com or www.fitzgeraldcyprus.com A property search can bring up many other adverts from private owners wanting to rent their property for long term rental or holiday rental.
These real estate agents have a wide choice of properties in Cyprus and can help anyone to acquire a property before arriving in Cyprus. Renting long term can be for either six months or for one year tenancy agreements to be signed. Cyprus is one of the safest places to buy or rent property and has a legal system very similar to the United Kingdom. If you are in Cyprus already, then buying the local paper, such as, the Cyprus Weekly, Cyprus Mail or the free English Ex-pat newspaper called The Paphos Post will come in handy. These newspapers list adverts of private owners wanting to sell, rent or holiday rent their properties.
Another way to find property for long term rental is with an independent property Consultant. Property Consultants can be found in local newspapers advertising their properties. They can sometimes find cheaper and better properties all around Cyprus. They will, also, have many clients with luxurious properties for long term rental and for holiday rental. Most Property Consultants do not sell properties only rent them, as there is a huge potential for rental in Cyprus. The majority of Ex-pats living in Cyprus only rent a house or an apartment. Most people come to Cyprus for work reasons and do not stay in the country for long.
