ProQuad MMRV Vaccine Ingredients

ProQuad is the Trade name for the Measles, Mumps, Rubella, and Varicella, (Chicken Pox), vaccine manufactured by Merck &Co. The ProQuad MMRV Vaccine Ingredients include the Live measles, Mumps, Rubella, and Varicella strains of virus, the Antibiotic Neomycin, the Chemicals Monosodium L-Glutamate, potassium chloride, potassium phosphate monobasic, potassium phosphate dibasic, sodium bicarbonate, sodium phosphate dibasic, sorbitol, sucrose, and the animal by products of human albumin, human diploid cells, residual components of MRC-5 cells including DNA and proteins, bovine serum, hydrolized gelatin, and chicken embryo.

The injection of disease into the body, by passing many of the bodies first lines of defense in my opinion is not the wisest thing to do. The MMR vaccine has never had mercury in it, yet it is one of the most prevalent vaccines after which many children become autistic. It is possible and some doctors hold to the contention that the measles virus is so similar to some human proteins that the body, being tricked by injection instead of the first lines of defense identifying it, is causing some individuals immune systems to create antibodies to proteins that are in the body and part of the human organism. Similar "tricks" of the immune system have been seen before and is the cause of auto-immune disorders in which the body can actually turn against itself.

The Antibiotic Neomycin is a potential allergen and allergies to antibiotics can be severe. If you know of an allergy in your child or yourself, this should be a contraindication, (a reason not to get the vaccine). Neomycin is also Toxic to the Kidneys and can damage the kidneys and/or nerves. Please refer to Drugs.com for symptoms and more detail on damage caused by Neomycin. Neomycin also effects the Vitamin B6, reducing levels in the body, so if the vaccine is taken you may want to supplement the diet with B6. Low levels of B6 can lead to mental retardation.

Monosodium L-Glutamate, MSG is an excitatory chemical and many people are allergic to MSG. On the MSDS Sheet it has a health risk of 2, (0 being the least harmful and 4 being the most harmful). MSG is considered a sensitizer and the hazards are based on handling and ingestion, MSDS sheets to not consider the effect of injecting the substance into the body. Studies with hamsters have shown lesions of the Hypothalamus causing interference with the ovulatory cycles and the U.S. National Library of Medicine and the National Institute of Health recognize the same lesion on the hypothalamic and subsequent development of Obesity. The ProQuad MMRV Vaccine Ingredients include the following chemicals, while they are not the most toxic of ingredients they should still be looked at and considered for potential hazards as well as interactions.

Potassium phosphate monobasic, Potassium phosphate dibasic. MSDS sheet at JTBaker, some systemic effects can occur through ingestion including vomiting, lethargy, diarrhea, blood chemistry, cardiac and central nervous system. Phosphates can cause an excessive build up of calcium, and may cause calcium phosphate deposits in the kidney. Potassium poisoning can result in heart effects, respiratory rate changes, heavy limbs and tingling, nausea and diarrhea. There are potential risks if you have Addisons Disease, Heart disease, high levels of potassium or phosphate in your blood, kidney disease or kidney stones, low levels of calcium in your blood, if you have allergies to potassium salts, foods, dyes, preservatives, or other medications, and if you are pregnant, planning to be pregnant or nursing. You can also have interactions with other medications and supplements and should not have it if you take sevelamer, cyclosporine, diuretics, eplerenone, ace inhibitors, potassium supplements or vitamin D supplements. This is not a complete list as other conditions may present a danger.

Sodium bicarbonate's MSDS health rating of 1, mild toxicity, sodium bicarbonate is used as an injection for those with metabolic acidosis, where the blood PH level is too acidic. Treatments are as high as 10ml/minute, so it is unlikely that current vaccines have levels even remotely close to this.

Sodium phosphate dibasic is low in toxicity. It is used before doing colonoscopy's with rare cases of Nephropathy, (kidney failure). however if there is already a known problem with the kidneys, they do not need the introduction of this chemical.

Sorbitol is a sugar alcohol that should not be used for those sensitive to fructose. Sorbitol can cause nausea, gas, diarrhea and stomach cramps. It is used medically for bladder irrigation but according to drugs.com it should NOT BE INJECTED.

Sucrose and Potassium chloride are on the on the relatively safe list of ingredients, which is not my primary focus here. Iron sucrose is sometimes given intravenously and potassium Chloride is basically a saline solution.

The by products of human albumin, human diploid cells, residual components of MRC-5 cells including DNA and proteins, bovine serum, hydrolized gelatin, and chicken embryo all hold thee same risk. Animal by products can contain viral and bacterial particles which can be transferred to humans via injection. SV40 was a simian virus found in the kidney cells of the monkeys used for the production of the Polio vaccine and may have infected as many as 98 million Americans with a cancer causing virus. Many of these components can also alter the DNA of the new host and may potentially be passed on to the next generation. Long term effects? Totally unknown. There are also the risks of allergic reactions to some ingredients, especially Gelatin and the chicken embryo.
