So what is a blog?
It's a place where you can enter notes, articles, poems, stories or thoughts and store them online forever. The basic software of a blog has a word processing window in which you type, format, add links, and save and edit. They are often stored in a historical format, with the latest entry the most visible.
The best blogging software to use may depend on whether you are writing for social purposes or as a business. Blog functionality usually allows word processing, spotlights, friends, groups, graphics, comment graphics, keywords, and may involve blog costs.
Social and Dating Blogs are the Best Blogging Software if Ease of Use and Friends are Important

Netlog offers unlimited blogging with the ability to put your blog in the spotlight, i.e. the main gathering spot where people find each other. Typepad has professional level blogging which allows more than one blogger on the account, multiple blogs per account preloading blog entries and setting the time for publication, and many levels of customization. I tried their multiple blogs but the ability to set a domain didn't function well because several of the features were dependent on a root address; I think this may have been fixed.

The only one of these I use is Blogger and I love it! I also use wordpress, but I prefer Blogger for its ease of use and its potential for me to someday (some day far into the future) make money!
Sending you some page love!
Great info. I used to blog regularly on a somewhat popular site. I even made a few bucks for posting regularly. The thought of keeping up with my own web page these days is just plain exhausting.
I spent some time on Multiply and met some great people..but the bugs drove me away. I have a blog on Blogger..and enjoy the functionality. I enjoyed your presentation.
I don't blog. Don't even know how.
I used to have one on Wordpress, but I like Blogger better.
I don't blog, twit, twitter, whatever either! I don't have enough time to keep up and still live life!
Thanks for compiling the pros and cons. I've only used a couple of these for blogging. I'm always interested in learning more.
