It seems that over the past few years, children's birthday parties have expanded and grown to full-blown bashes. In some cases, parents want to show off and see who can outdo the other. However, in some cases parents just have the urge to go overboard when it comes to their children.

Children's birthday parties have become very expensive and even ridiculously overdone in many cases.

This phase in parties can put a lot of pressure on parents to have the best party ever for their child.

When planning your child's birthday party location is a big factor. When you host the party can make a big difference in how successful and expensive the party becomes.

Some people continue to choose to have their child's birthday party at their home. However many are now choosing other locations that host birthday parties for children.

There are some advantages to having the party at your house. Likewise there are also some disadvantages too.

Below you will find that both the advantages and disadvantages of hosting your child's birthday party at your home are examined.

Advantages of hosting your child's birthday party at your house:

Cost. Obviously you do not have to pay to have the party at your home. Many locations do have a fee that is charged for using their facilities. Many parents choose to have the party at their house because it is free.

Comfort level. If you are not a picky parent about your home then you may find that it is more comfortable for you to have the party at your house. When you are at another location you are responsible for anything that goes wrong or gets broken.

Time. At your home there is no time limit to the party. Other locations set your party time for you. Most locations have a two hour party span time.

Disadvantages to having your child's birthday party at your house:

Cleaning. Most moms feel the need to clean up before the party and the guest arrive. It is also a necessity to clean up after the guest leave. This can be a big job.

Entertainment. At your home you are solely responsible for entertaining the guest. In other location there is usually some type of activity to keep the child entertained.

Deciding whether or not to host your child's birthday party at your own home can be a big determining facto for the rest of the party plans.
