Prospecting Brooklyn Bridge Park in Brooklyn Heights

Not that it wasn't worth visiting this past especially hot summertime, but now that it's autumn, how much more worth visiting is Brooklyn Bridge Park, particularly the recently finished Pier 1 and Pier 6 parts of the park. If you haven't been yet, get there before it gets too cold this year to see how nice the park is shaping up to be. You don't want to see it for the first time this winter, trying to sit on the great, but ice cold, granite rocks of Granite Prospect.

If you can't make it until winter, and you don't want to sit on the cold granite, know that the wood benches that you sit on are from wood reclaimed from the two old cold storage houses that used to be where the park is now, and it's old Long Leaf Yellow Pine.
