The best way to prevent yourself from contracting airborne ailments is to keep up to date with the news and resources of any possible outbreaks of illnesses. You need to learn about them in terms of how their spread and the possible ways to prevent contact. Today, the world is facing several threats that are swine flu and bird flu which are spreading at an alarming rate. You need to maintain simple hygiene and a few measures to protect yourself.

2. Make sure that you cover your mouth when coughing or sneezing with a tissue to prevent spreading the germs to others.

3. If you are ill, cover your face with a facemask to stop the potential spread of germs. This is highly recommended especially in the potential future influenza pandemic.

By maintaining these simple rules, you will be able to continue on your daily routine safely and well protected.
