Protesting Bank Bailouts:
New Jersey Citizen's Group Teams Up with Internet Blogger and Candidate for Congress Omar Dyer
On January 29th of 2010, it was a cold day, whereas Leslie Schlesinger of New Jersey's citizen's group-organized a small protest to rally against the bank bailouts. This was schedule to be a huge rally, and the day turned wrong on them when it became too could on handling the event.
The rally with the New Jersey Citizens group planned out to be a small event because the group that was planning the rally didn't formulate it greatly-where a selected 20 college students attended that rally. The protested and screamed and shouted about the problems with banking and the problems with small business, yet their major concern was the problems with bank bailouts. In a recent study done by MSNBC, reported that CEO of Chase Bank: Jake Dimon, gave himself a 9 million dollar bonus after taking T.A.R.P. funds. He also granted through lobbyist a $2 million dollar trust fund to a campaign owned by John Boehner, Republican Representative of the House in Ohio's 8th district.
While major small business are finding it hard to stipend basic needs, and fundamental funding just to gain manufacturing cost, is the simple tool fueling the frustration and anger in Congress, and with Government. That's why groups like this have been forming protest and rallies to act on what banks are doing to local small businesses. They are not granting them the type of basic funding needed and they are not working to help the needed businesses.
During the bailout or rescue package, many of the banks that were classified as to big to fail where given troubled assets to relieve them of their bad debt. A type of debt that would have caused a systematic failure in the economic structure of this country, or a meltdown. While in some estimates show that nearly 450 smaller banks have closed I's doors, and shut down-whereas they've failed; it was the big banks that have heavy ties to members in congress, that were able to achieve mandated funds to survive. Which lead to the growth of a rating of unemployment, and people losing jobs? Most of the data shows that over 8.4 million jobs have been lost during the first quarter of this recession from 2007 until now. And it has also shown that policies and mandates from President Barack Obama's administration has saved and recreated 2.1 million jobs, and could have a potential to create 3 million more jobs. That will break this recession past the half number and make the recovery efforts more transparent.
