Blackstone Boulevard is located in perhaps the most affluent part of the East Side (which is saying a lot). The road is separated with a gorgeous tract of land, which is full of trees and benches. Here in the middle of all of this is a trail. Perfect for running, walking, jogging, walking a dog etc. the "Boulevard" as Rhode Islanders so lovingly call it, is upbeat and full of life especially in the Spring, Summer and Fall.
Running straight up and then back will give you a perfect run of approximately 3.6 miles. It is ideal for training for a 5K and most of the run is on a dirt trail gearing you up for an off-road event while going a little easy on the knees.
To one side there are huge houses gorgeously kept up and on the other, there are beautiful woods with a cemetery set in the back and the occasional house. Everyone is generally friendly and courteous and the trail while bustling with people never feels overcrowded.
If you are looking for the perfect place to jog, run or walk in Rhode Island, you must check out the East Sides Blackstone Boulevard.
