PS 261 in Boerum Hill is Starting a Garden

The garden will give students a hands-on lesson about vegetables and nature. It is also an opportunity for them to learn about nutrition and the importance of eating locally grown food. The new garden has already brought the community together and it will be something that students can take pride in.
PS 261 is located at 314 Pacific Street between Atlantic Avenue and Dean Street. Parents can contact that school at 718-330-9275 for more information on the garden and upcoming volunteer opportunities.
