Fun Factor:
Koei is like the New York Yankees of video game companies. They can spend money and deliver crap, and nobody can step in and stop them from doing so. That's why they repackage the same game repeatedly, and sell it as something new every few months.
Dynasty Warriors: Gundam 2 is just like the very first Dynasty Warriors: Gundam game, which was basically the original Dynasty Warriors, with a bunch of giant robots replacing the regular Samurai cast of characters.
Gameplay: Tap the same button over and over again to attack. It's the sort of game your grandparents can pick up and dominate within seconds. Enemies just stand around like a bunch of slackers, and don't really put up much of a battle. It's kinda like Devil May Cry, only the attacks don't look nearly as cool, and this game is lacking in anything that can be considered to be charisma.
Graphics: looks like a Playstation 2 launch title. I actually dug up my copy of The Bouncer, just to compare. I had more fun playing and looking at that pitiful game than going through the motions in Dynasty Warriors: Gundam Rehash.
This game is slathered in blur! It's like somebody dropped it in a bucket of bad eyesight juice or something. not sure if the developers were going for a gritty look or what. It turned out looking like the camera lens needed bifocals.
Sound: I played this game with the volume muted. I assumed they used the bad voice actors form the original, or lifted sound clips form the various Gundam cartoon series'. I love my hearing too much to sacrifice it by listening to that corny mess again.
Replay value: non existent. As a Gundam fan, I'm disgusted by the lack of effort put forth by Koei. Koei disappointing me is quite an accomplishment at this point. Sure they have a ton of characters in this game, but it means nothing when the experience is rubbish overall.
This game is bad, this game is very bad. Sony's Playstation 2 is on it's last legs, and having piss poor releases such as this are not the way I want to see it go out. If you're interested in playing a Dynasty Warriors game, get psychiatric help, or buy DW 2 on eBay.
