What are other people saying about the PS3 games?
"Visuals are generally unimpressive; online component is a ramshackle mess; characters never change weapons; combat gets boring before game is over."- Untold Legends: Dark Kingdom, Gamepsot
"...downplays the role of the police chases, introduces some simple team-racing mechanics, and occasionally takes the action off the city streets and into the outlying canyons. ...doesn't always improve the experience, but the racing can still be quite intense and still has a pronounced sense of style."- Need for Speed Carbon, Gamespot
"huge, eclectic cast of Marvel heroes and villains; deep yet largely optional character customization system; great variety of environments; seamless local and online co-op play."- Marvel: Ultimate Alliance, Gamespot
"Feature-for-feature, this version of Madden 07 takes after the Xbox 360 version from earlier in the year, so if you already bought the game on the 360, there isn't anything here to draw you in. ...lead-blocker controls are useful gameplay additions"- Madden NFL 07, Gamespot
"Great frame rate leads to a fast sense of speed; team-based online racing modes are neat and innovative; car customization and slipstreaming add new depth to the series...gameplay won't be intuitive to those unfamiliar with the series."- Ridge Racer 7, Gamespot
"Gorgeous visuals; amazing sound; 24-player online play; story isn't particularly engaging; inconsistent frame rate."- Call of Duty 3, Gamespot
In my opinion, if you want a Playstation, get the PS2. It is still a great system with a huge amount of games. If you want a new system, try the Wii or Xbox360. The PS3 is so expensive and I just dont think the few improvements are worth the extra cash. The Xbox360 is the next thing I will be buying, the $399 version. And if you are looking for HD, Xbox has a drive you can purchase for $199. I haven't played the Wii yet but I think its very innovative and they are one their way to a great library of games. If I play it and like it, I will probably buy one next Christmas since I'm getting a Xbox360 this year.
