Psalm 51:17: The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit,
A broken and a contrite heart-
These, O God, You will not despise.
No matter how hard you try, you cannot please God by good deeds alone. God wants a broken spirit. He delights in a broken and repentant heart. It's all about the attitude of the heart! Are you truly sorry for the sins you have committed?

Post a CommentFunny you should write this today. Another writer on this site was upset that she spent hours working on a beautiful piece of jewelry only to have the crystal shatter when it dropped on the floor. I used this Psalm to share with her the following,
"There is beauty in brokenness. God uses brokenness as a means to bring them closer to himself. He uses broken people and a Godly makeover to make us more beautiful than before.
Use this broken piece to make it anew."
Cheers :)
