Psychic Ability, Premonitions, Visions, ESP, or Coincidence?

Ever since I was little I can remember having the ability to see everyday things happening, before they actually happened. I have always wondered exactly what to call it. Maybe you can tell me? I mean, I can't find dead bodies like on the Ghost Whisperer, I'll leave that to Jeniffer Love Hewitt, but simple, everyday things seem to just come to mind before they actually happen. I certainly can't remember all of them, but I can let you know about a few, that definitely stand out in my mind.

The very first one I clearly remember is when I was about 17. I had been in a minor car accident that wasn't my fault, and I was getting a very small settlement for it from the insurance company. It was all of $300.00. Thank God it was the late 60's so that went pretty far. My mother and I decided to go see her best friend in Florida. We called her Aunt Gerty. Mind you I had never seen her house, or a picture of it. The night before we were going to leave, I had a dream. I was walking into a house, that was actually set up quite oddly compared to what I was use to. It was so vivid. When I walked through the door, there was the dining room, in back of that the living room, and in back of that what they called the Florida room. A Florida room is like a screened in porch. The bedrooms were off to the right of the three rooms, and the kitchen to the left. Okay I thought, this is a very strange dream to have, that meant absolutely nothing to me, at least not until I went to Florida. I remember arriving at my Aunt Gerty's and walking into the house. I was astounded. The house was exactly as I dreamed. Remember, I had had never seen, nor heard about this house. Of course being 17, and excited about my first trip to Florida, and most definitely the tan I would have going back to school, I didn't even think anything about it. However, it did happen, and I know not why.

The second thing that actually happened a few years later, that I didn't realize until I looked back, was regarding the man I married. There were two things that I remembered after I married him. When I was in my mid-teens my best friend and I had a Ouiji board. I have no idea if that's the correct spelling. Anyway, we were of course asking questions about who we would marry. Well, most people say these boards work because the participants are sub-consciously pushing it, to where they want it to go. I haven't a clue. What I do know, is when I asked the initials of the man I would marry, it spelled out J. P. S. This we wrote down, so we would not forget. You got it, just a few years down the road the man I married, and stayed married to for 24 years, had the initials J. P. S. Spooky, huh?

There was also another incidence regarding my future husband J.P.S. Again, I was in my mid-teens, and I was watching this film about an airline pilot. Well, I remember clearly as though I just said it, saying, I hope I marry someone just like that someday, with a name exactly like his. Yup, I met my husband in the Air Force, and he worked on planes, and even more strange, had the EXACT name as the character in the movie. That's too weird to be just a coincidence.

One last incidence that's fairly clear to me, is when I was staying with my sister for awhile when I was much older. She new I had many incidents of this knowing things before they happen, so she asked me if she was going to meet anyone, anytime soon. Now, what I should explain, and said to her, was that the thoughts just come to me. I had never tried to make it happen. At least I don't think so. I told her I would try. Well the first thing that came to me was to ask her if she knew anyone named Steve. She said no. I said well, your going to meet someone named Steve just before Thanksgiving. She said that was interesting, and we went on to something else. Well, oddly enough just before Thanksgiving, the cafeteria in the building she worked in had a fire, and was closed down. The employees had to go down the street to another cafeteria. You guessed it, she met Steve. Mind you, she would have never met him, except for the fire.

Well, those are a few of the incidents that kind of stand out in my mind. However, there have been many small things that have come to me before they happen. I have never tried to develop it, whatever IT may be called, as I feel it may become too cumbersome to my life. Also, I have to admit, I would be afraid of what I might see. All those movies about psychics, mediums, etc. have cured me from ever wanting to know more than I should. I know one thing, these happenings are more than just a coincidence, I'm just not exactly sure what they really are!
