The psychic fair is held in one of the conference rooms in the hotel. Once you walk into the hotel, there are no signs posted as to where the fair is held, so you have to ask the front desk where to go. The room ends up being in the lower basement area of the hotel.
Heading down the stairs to that area, you know you are getting close because the smell of incense fills the air. At the front registration table, you pay a $2 entrance fee that also enters you into a drawing for a free reading.
Once you pay you can go inside and walk up to another table where you can schedule a time for a psychic reading. There are about 12 long tables, each with about three psychics at them. Over in the corner is a group of chairs where people can sit and wait until their reading.
The whole room is loud with the chattering of the psychics. Once you sign up for your block of time, you pay. It costs $20 for 15 minutes. The best time to sign up is in the morning because all of the popular psychics fill up early. When you sign up, you can either wait in the chair or come back later, depending on how far away the time slot is.
When it is your turn for a reading, you go to your assigned psychic and sit down. The psychic won't start until a bell rings, signaling the start of the 15 minutes.
The psychic then gives you a reading. This is the part that I didn't like. Depending on where you sit, you will most likely be sandwiched between two other people getting a reading. When I went, I had a difficult time hearing what my psychic was telling me because all I heard were the psychics on either side of me. If it was hard for me to concentrate, then it was definitely hard for the psychics to focus.
There is one psychic that runs the fair, and if you are unlucky enough to get her then you will have wasted your money. Since she is running the show, she keeps herself focused on all the other psychics when the 15-minute timer rings. She makes sure that none of the other psychics go over their time or she reprimands them. While she is paying attention to everyone else, she is not giving you a proper reading.
All in all, if you are bored and looking for something different to do, I would go to a psychic fair. Otherwise, I predict that your money would be better spend elsewhere.

I've never been to a psychic. You know, there are lots of pet psychics out there now too.
