Psychic Kids - How to Help Your Child Develop Psychic Abilities

Jack Scelzo
It is commonly believed in the intuitive community that everyone is born with psychic abilities. Like any other trait, this ability is stronger in some than others. For example, everyone is able to play the piano. However, some people have a stronger innate ability than other people. This is particularly true of children. Children are more in tuned to things around them which mean that if you want to help your psychic kids improve their intuition, then now is the best time to start. Here are a few tips for helping your child develop their psychic abilities.

Psychic intuition is just like any other skill. It can be strengthened and fine tuned through regular usage. The first thing you should determine is through which modality your child receives their insight. There are four major ones: clairvoyance, clairaudience, clairsentience, and claircognizance. If your child is clairvoyant (clear seeing) they will see events play out like a movie in their minds. For psychic kids that are clairaudient (clear hearing) they will hear a voice in their head giving them information. Clairsentient (clear feeling) children will have a feeling in the gut about a particular situation or event. Claircognizant (clear knowing) receives intuitive knowledge without needing to process it or interpret it.

A simple way to determine what your child's psychic modality is to ask them in an age appropriate way. Once you know what it is, then you can help them develop their intuition by allowing them to practice it. You want to develop an atmosphere of acceptance and non-judgment in your home that makes your child comfortable using their skills. Stress and censure will cause psychic kids to feel bad about their gifts and hinder their development in more ways than one. If need be, you can even turn it into a game.

Speaking of games, there are several games and tests you can play with your psychic kids that will help them with their abilities. You can purchase or make psi cards. These are flash cards with symbols on them. You show the back of the card to the child and they have to guess what the symbol is on them. You can find other tools in many metaphysical and spiritual stores. Lastly, you don't want to force a child to display, develop, or use their psychic abilities. You want to be encouraging but if they don't want to, then be supportive instead.
