BEAVERCREEK, OH May 1, 2010 - Beavercreek Chiropractic Clinic will hold a special Patient Appreciation Day from 8 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. and 1 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. on Saturday May 1, 2010. The event is open to the public and will include refreshments, gift drawings and free services for new visitors as well as special discounts for established patients.

Dr. Greg Palkowski is the director of the clinic, located at 1654 Mardon Drive in Beavercreek. "This event is our way of thanking our patients for allowing us to help improve their quality of life," Palkowski said. "It also gives us the opportunity to show new patients what chiropractic is really all about."

During the one-day event, new patients will be offered a complete evaluation at no cost or obligation. The offer includes a thorough spinal and nervous system exam, x-rays and other components necessary to properly detect problems and develop an individualized treatment plan. Patients currently being seen at the clinic will receive adjustments that day for only $20.

Palkowski graduated in 1981, Magna Cum Laude, from the Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, Iowa. He completed his undergraduate studies at Canisius College in Buffalo, New York and has been in private practice in Beavercreek since 1983.

According to Palkowski there are many mistaken ideas about chiropractic treatment, especially regarding the "doctor" title. "One of the greatest misconceptions is that a chiropractor is not a real doctor," he explained. "A chiropractor earns a doctorate degree in chiropractic, much like a dentist or lawyer get doctorates in their field."

Chiropractic physicians are highly specialized in the treatment of injuries and disorders related to the musculoskeletal system. While most people associate the chiropractor with back injuries, a Doctor of Chiropractic also treats muscle strain, injuries of the extremities as well as arthritis and sinus and allergy conditions.

"My goal is to create an environment of healing and education for our patients aside from the present medical model of drugs and surgery," said Dr. Greg, as he is known by his patients and associates. In addition to complete physical care, the clinic staff does everything possible to make patients feel at ease during their visit.

Newly-remodeled reception and adjustment areas help ensure that patients at Beavercreek Chiropractic Clinic are treated in a relaxing, family-practice environment. Other specialized facilities at the facility offer patients a choice between traditional closed treatment rooms or open adjusting areas located adjacent to the patient waiting room.

Most chiropractors resist being referred to as alternative healers. Palkowski uses the latest in chiropractic techniques and instruments to provide the best possible care for everyone he treats.

He is satisfied, however, in his conviction that, "The power that made the body can heal the body and that the interference to the normal functioning nervous system is the primary cause for the breakdown of our human health condition."

Palkowski's commitment to health does not stop at his adjustment table, however. In addition to chiropractic care, Beavercreek Chiropractic Clinic also offers a wide range of wellness programs including natural weight loss by Joy to Life, Juice Plus Whole Food Supplements and patient education for all ages.

Appointments for the Patient Appreciation Day are limited. To reserve an appointment time, contact the Beavercreek Chiropractic Clinic by calling (937) 426-9265. For more information and regular operating hours, visit www.beavercreekchiro.com.
