Publishers Clearing House

Julie Wimmer
It's that time of year again - time for Publishers Clearing House ads, commercials, promotions and more. Publishers Clearing House is getting ready to give out its big prize again this fall, so for those who want to win big, get ready.

This fall's prize from Publishers Clearing House is winning one million dollars plus five thousand dollars a week for life. As always, check the small print because many people do not read the rules and regulations. What's the catch? According to Publishers Clearing House, nothing. All you have to do is enter your name in the sweepstakes at: http://prism.pch.com/Path/2011OctTVPC1BE/CTRLFULLREG.aspx?

Publishers Clearing House also conveniently sells magazine subscriptions, and they do say that making a purchase will in no way change a persons chances at winning the megaprize, however, I know most of us do wonder about that.

Trivia: Ed McMahon was not the spokesperson for Publishers Clearing House, as many people believe. Before he passed away, he was the spokesperson for American Family Publishers which was a rival company.

The winner of the Publishers Clearing House sweepstakes will be announced November 30th 2011.

    I enter everyday online.

The catch is that they send you several mailings. You have to sort through tons of ads looking for special stickers to attach to the form. Then you have to send it back using your own stamp. Just when you think you've finally entered, they send another warning: return this one by such-and-such date, or we will remove your number and you will not be entered. When it's all said and done, you've probably spent a few bucks in postage and should have just bought some lottery tickets. That being said, I still entered the darn thing this time, but don't know about next time. :)

I wish I could enter PCH. haha! I haven't gotten those things in years!

I got hooked into PCH a while back and discovered that it wasn't for me. It took me about six months to convince them to take me off their mailing list. I finally threatened them with legal action and PRESTO!!!!! no more mailbox stuffers.

I used to enter all the time...but they never rang my doorbell so I gave up :) cheers
