In unrelated animal news, there are several cats and dogs that are always on the euthanasia list at Arlington, TX Animal Services who are available for adoption. The shelter does not charge fees to adoption partners for animals that have been with them for over 30 days. Rabies vaccines are $10, DH2PP/Bordatella is $5.50, FVRCP costs $2.50, Heartworm test - $5.50, cat combo test runs $12.50, microchip costs $5.50, and de-worming is $1.00.
Surgery charges for cats is $35 for females and $25 for males. The staff must limit spay/neuter operations for placement animals on a space available basis.
