Michigan Story Contest
The campaign is seeking 1000 stories from residents telling why we choose to live in this state. To submit a story visit Pure Michigan Living from January 26th to February 1, 2010. You must be a legal resident of Michigan and be at least 21 years old. Click on "Choose Michigan Contest, then write a brief story, enter your name, address and email address. Two winners will be randomly drawn to win a getaway weekend package at a variety of Michigan resort destinations.
Being a native Michigander, it was easy for me to write about why I choose to live here. My husband and I love the water, woods, and abundance of natural resources here. This state offers those of us lucky enough to live here a great variety of places to enjoy the great outdoors. Michigan has the world's longest freshwater coastline (3,200 miles), over 100 public beaches, rivers and 11,000 inland lakes. For water and water sports' lovers like us, it is heaven on earth! If you love cities with their commerce, entertainment, museums, and arts, Michigan has that, too! This is a very diversified state with something for everyone.
Visit the Pure Michigan Living site and you may be surprised by what this state has to offer its residents. You will find guides to Michigan's cities giving information on available jobs, housing, and entertainment. There's a featured list of growing companies and economic development news. A link to Michigan's Official Travel and Tourism site shares an enormous amount of tourist related information. Growth sectors and related news and successes is listed under the Michigan Business tab. Entrepreneurs and companies looking to relocate will find the information there helpful.
Michigan has been a popular tourist destination for many years. With the Pure Michigan Living campaign hopefully people will discover what an amazing state Michigan is to live in, too!
