I leave home
To begin
My daily call
To go to work
The snow
Is falling
Heavily
A slow drive
Ahead of me
As I travel
With utmost care
The white stuff
Continues to fall
Drifting in the breeze
Throughout the day
Reports of grief
Upon the roads
This morning
First thing
Pure snow
So white and pure
Now all I see
Only black sludge
Caused by vehicles
With their unhappy
Drivers
Going about
Their daily drudge
