Pure for Xbox 360 - Video Game Review

Walter Kovacs
Pure for the Xbox 360 is probably the best ATV Racing game for the console. The graphics are awesome, the soundtrack is killer, but best of all, you have the ability to literally build your bike. It is an amazing game, and it plays to all skill levels.

Let's start with the graphics. For the Xbox 360, most games are crystal clear, pristine, and follow the laws of physics. This game is no different. The terrain is convincing, the characters are sculpted perfectly. This game is graphically just as good if not better than any Xbox 360 game.

Next is the soundtrack. There are a lot of songs, both new and old. You have the choice of the songs you want to play, so you can tailor the game to your specific needs.

Speaking of your specific needs, let's move on to the most attractive part of this game. The fact that you can literally build you bike from scratch. You pick a body shape, then a color for it. Then you pick a covering, and pick a color for it. You can pick literally all the parts of your bike, all the way up to the bumpers, the design on the seat, and the grips your character will hold on to while you are plowing through bushes, zipping around trees, and getting massive air. This is a great feature, and it is done perfectly. It isn't just aesthetic either. Different parts will change the skill set of the bike. For example, a bike with certain parts will be lighter, making it easier to jump, whereas other parts will increase the weight of the bike, making it hug the ground tighter so turns will be easier.

Oh, and I forgot, there is also the plot of the game. The Pure World Tournament is a collection of the greatest ATV racers in the world. They take on frontiers the have never been explored, such as frictionless ice and 3 foot deep mud. They are there to test the world and find new tracks to race on. The winner of the Pure World Tournament is also given a prize of a ton of money, and is recognized as the greatest ATV driver of all time.

Pure is an epic game, and I would rate it a 8.5 out of 10. It is rated E for Everyone, so pretty much anyone who wants to can play this game and get good at it over time. The thing is, the people who play this game on Xbox LIVE are incredible at the game, so you probably won't be able to win on Xbox LIVE for a few weeks.
