Purity Mineral Make-Up Collection: Review of My Free Trial Offer

Totally Pure, Non-Comedogenic Formula is Put to the Test

Miss Marilyn
The world of Purity boasts that it uses the finest quality ingredients to enhance and protect your natural beauty. Many make up lines are using this tactic to attract customers to a healthier form of make up that will not clog pores or upset skin. Common problems that can occur because of poor quality make-up include break-outs, swelling, dryness or even worse eye irritation.

My initial reason for wanting to try Purity was just out of curiosity. This was because of the Sheer Cover and Bare Minerals infomercials that feature consumers going through their before and after transformations. Common problems such as scarring or rosacea seem to disappear within seconds of applying the make up. So, it was time for me to break open the box and see what the hype was all about.

Product Line.
The product line that was included in my trial offer featured Purity Mineral Foundation, Purity Mineral All-Over Glow and Purity Mineral Finishing Powder. It also included a foundation brush, radiance brush and a concealer brush with a cute makeup bag which I will get to keep. It comes with a step-by-step guide that will assist you in putting on the make-up.

Application and Packaging.
The steps to apply the make-up were relatively simple. The how-to guide states plainly what are the steps in applying the foundation and finishing. In about five minutes, I was satisfied with my facial art work. The packaging I did not particularly like, since I prefer liquid foundations to powders and brushes. However, it is designed in a powder form and only dispenses small amounts. With Purity brand make-up less is always more.

Satisfaction Guaranteed.
My full time job in the service industry usually puts me under severe heat and pressure. My skin is already afflicted by moderate acne. It was certainly impressive that Purity had the ability to stay on all day long and withstand the heat. My only concern was that it did not stand up to my skin's oily nature. At the end of the day, my face still looked oily. However, there was no irritation experienced as with some other brands. In fact, I will admit that I was quite impressed by Purity's ability to make my appearance look natural and hide my imperfections.

Trial Offer Vs. Real Cost
Since this was a trial offer, I only paid a fraction of the cost to try it. Of course, if I do intend to return it, I will have to pay for shipping and handling. The product sells for $145 retail. Whether I make it a part of my daily beauty routine or not, this product does stand behind its promise and makes you look absolutely beautiful.

Similar Products
There are other products on the market that are similar to Purity. Some drug store brands are Neutrogena Mineral Line, Erth Mineral Line and Cosminology. If you are looking for 100% pure make-up then its wise to read the ingredient lists. Make up should be free of oil, talc, chemical preservatives or synthetic dyes.

I've been using this product for over a year and it's turned out to be a good investment. I really like the coverage it maintains without looking caked on. The kit is nice, coming with the foundation, blush and finishing powder. I too have oily skin and I've found that I can just take the finishing powder and small brush along with me and do a light touch up mid-day and this really helps, no need to completely reapply. The price they list for retail is $145 but I don't think anyone ever pays that. I can order a refill and get 2 foundations, blush and finisher for only $35.99 and it lasts me at least 2 months.

Tried it as a trial and loved it. makes my oily, ruddy skin flawless and covers zits and things perfectly. After your trial, refills are just 35.99 and you can cancel shipments so that they only send it to you when you need it. I have been using this for about 1 year now and I am due to get my 4th shipment this week. That's about 130 bucks per year....way cheaper than buying covergirl liquid makeup, blush and bronzer every month

Great review- have never heard of this.

Who on earth is writing these reviews? This product is CRAP. The product gets into the eyes. It is clearly not made of good quality material. To cap it all, you will be harrassed by the company for months after receiving the so called product that is supposed to cost 1 USD. It will actually cost you a lot more because they will insist on sending you hundreds of dollars worth of this crap product. They will then set the debt collectors on you. When they do that write them a cease and desist letter and they must stop or pay you money when a consumer attorney takes them to court for harassment. The product really is CRAP. Take my word for it and save yourself a lot of hassle.

Thanks for the review as I've not yet tried mineral makeup but wanted too...but I agree this sounds a tad pricey.

I tried a similar but less expensive product and had a similar experience to yours. I have extremely oily skin and have tried just about everything! While I love the concept of mineral make-up, like you I find that at the end of the day my face is still quite shiny. I do use oil blotting tissues though, which helps some but I could easily go through an entire pack in one week.
