I speak of being lonely,
yet my thoughts are clouded with purpose.
My dreams, left to salivate underneath my tongue.
Afraid of what I might say to hurt you.
My feelings have been frozen.
Warmth is not allowed,
possibly for the sole purpose of
just finding a greater one, itself.
But my future is uncertain.
Only time will tell,
how worthless I will become,
and how many times I will let you down.
With me, you will fall far,
Although, certainly not on purpose.
yet my thoughts are clouded with purpose.
My dreams, left to salivate underneath my tongue.
Afraid of what I might say to hurt you.
My feelings have been frozen.
Warmth is not allowed,
possibly for the sole purpose of
just finding a greater one, itself.
But my future is uncertain.
Only time will tell,
how worthless I will become,
and how many times I will let you down.
With me, you will fall far,
Although, certainly not on purpose.
