Push to Have Scenes for Detroit 1-8-7 Shot in Royal Oak

There is a push among residents, businesses, and politicians in Royal Oak to send a formal invitation to the cast and crew of Detroit 1-8-7 to film in Royal Oak. While this initiative is not to steal Detroit 1-8-7 away from Detroit, but to have the show showcase one Detroit's suburbs for a few scenes.

Those who have been contacting the production company in charge of Detroit 1-8-7 say that they believe that if a few scenes for the show were to be shot along Main Street in Royal Oak, it might drive some new business to the area.

I sent a message myself to a few of the producers of Detroit 1-8-7 to see if there was any plan to shoot outside of Detroit in a push to showcase some of the suburbs, like Royal Oak. I know for a fact that they have been shooting in Mount Clemens, and a few other cities, but not to showcase the city. Only using areas there as backdrops or locations for homes. As of the publication of this piece, I have not gotten any word back from the producers.
